A school-based Speech-Language Pathologist opportunity is available at a high school in Cranston, RI. This contract position lasts for the entire school year, providing a great chance to support adolescent students with speech and language development within an educational setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide individualized speech-language therapy services to students.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation and reports.
- Conduct screenings and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to support student success.
- Utilize evidence-based practices to address speech, language, and communication disorders in a school environment.
Qualifications:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathology Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA required.
- State licensure or eligibility to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Rhode Island.
- Prior experience in a school setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with students, families, and school staff.
- Ability to adapt therapy approaches to meet diverse student needs.
